Nintendo Switch & The Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild

In order for me to recommend the Nintendo Switch, I wanted to double up the post with a must-own game to help make the point.

Having owned and rapidly lost interest in the gimmickry of the Wii, and completely skipped the flop of the Wii U, the somewhat more refined vision of the Switch actually piqued my interest after its announcement in late 2016. It was the resoundingly positive reviews of ‘The Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild’ that pushed me over the edge and into the purchase of both.

It’s a hugely impressive feat to create a portable console that is capable of running such a huge, gorgeous, open-world game, and that fact you can seamlessly take it on the road is fantastic.

There are plenty of reviews out there so I won’t go into the minutia of the game itself, but I can thoroughly recommend both the system and BotW for anyone who’s fans of the series, and indeed of Nintendo themselves. It feels like we may be entering into the era of the Switch.

Account Tracker Pro (iOS)

I am a huge fan of software and constantly search for new applications to help me with everyday tasks, but accounting is one that I’ve never been able to settle on.

Account Tracker Pro is the most fully-featured iOS accounting app I have ever used. It’s utilitarian by design, but for a subject like accounting, I find that absolutely perfect. It’s well considered, tabbed-view interface makes it easy to navigate, but allows for accurate and powerful management of all accounts and transactions.

Accounting may, to many, be somewhat of a bore, but Account Tracker Pro doesn’t make it a chore. (Graham Haley, you can use that as a testimonial 🤓)
